Do I have sponsorship for a company? I answer this and several questions on the best lens for your sony a6000/a6300/a6500. I don’t think it’s the best lens for filmmaking, but as far as sony a6000 lenses, I highly recommend it for sony mirrorless. The best lens for video for the Sony a6000 is the Sigma 17-50mm F2.8. It’s cheap and cost effect. It’s probably the best lens for youtube other than your kit lens if you can manually focus it. This is a Q&A that I'll be doing every Sunday.

I take the Sony a9 Unit I received from Sony Pro Support via LensRental to try out. The results will surprise you. When I set the internal camera setting to standard temp, the camera shut down in actual use. However, when I used the battery grip and activated the extended temperature, the camera did not have the overheating indicator to turn on.

The overheating indicator turned on my Sony a9 after using it for twenty minutes during a swim meet. I wasn't particularly happy about it after having just spent $4500. I really like the tech that Sony puts in their camera, and I just want to see them succeed.
With Jason Vong out for tonights episode, I hit up our good friend Sony Imaging Ambassador, Manny Ortiz to fill in. After his recent Santa Barbara trip at Sony's Kando Retreat, I pick Manny's brain over the newly announced Sony 12-24mm F4 and the Sony 16-35mm F2.8.

I took Sony a7Rii + 70-200GM out for a test run at a swim meet. Results were good, but I recommend a dedicated sports camera to get better results.
I test out the Sigma 50-100mm F1.8 with the Sony a6500 at a music concert. Surprisingly, the lens and camera combination worked really well. Images were sharp and crisp.
