We talk about the new Sony External SL-E SSD recorder, the new Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 reviews, an interesting a7000 design concept, and more. Joining me for this Monday Live is David Oastler (https://www.youtube.com/user/doastler)
I test the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art Lens on the Sony a6000. Link to lens: http://geni.us/tQiP
The Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 Art lens is an interesting combination on the Sony a6000 because of Sony's missing fast aperture zoom lenses. In order to use this lens, you'll need to use several adapter options that are available for this sigma lens. The one I highly recommend is the Sigma MC-11 which gives the best performance and compatibility.
This video is more like a mini review of the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8. I don't cover the video aspects of the lens too much, but cover the image quality this sigma lens on the Sony a6000.
I test out the Pixco 25mm f1.4 CCTV Lens. You'll be surprised by the results. Link: http://geni.us/KBNK
I decided to grab the Pixco lens, the 25mm f1.4 on a whim. I didn't really think it was going to be any good. I would see it pop up in Amazon. It was under $30 so I just went for it. I was even sure if it was going to work. I was very surprised by the resulting images I go.
I answer a handful of questions from viewers. I recently picked up the Sigma 30mm f1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens, so please stay tuned to the channel for a future video/review of it as well as compare it to the Sony 35mm F1.8 OSS (SEL35F18) lens. One has stabilization and the other does not.
I checkout the Sony 12-24mm f4 G Ultrawide lens for Sony full-frame mirrorless. Link: http://geni.us/euC2yWt
I think this lens is going to be the ultimate vlog/vlogging lens for YouTube content creators that want use Sony Mirrorless. I was really surprised by how light this lens was and how well it paired not only with a full-frame Sony alpha a9, but also the Sony a6000. The Sony 12-24 FE F4 is a lens you should definitely consider over the Sony 16-35mm if you always find yourself needing to go a little bit wider than usual.
In this video, I share with you my favorite Sony E-mount camera of 2017 as well share my thoughts on the 20k subscriber milestone we hit on YouTube. Thank you to everyone! My favorite Sony E--mount camera is the Sony a6300. It was the camera that started it all for me on this channel. Link: http://geni.us/Cl7Gvrx
I compare the Sony a6000 and Sony a9 using the Sony 70-200 F4 and Sony 70-200 F2.8 G Master in both photo and video. Links to products below:
The Sony a6000 is a great aps-c camera that many have, but what happens when you compare it to a full-frame Sony monster, the Sony a9. Even more crazy is if you pair the Sony a9 with the Sony 70-200 F2.8gm and pair the Sony a6000 with the Sony 70-200 F4. I found from my experience comparing the two cameras and lens combination that Sony a6000 photos were very sharp with the F4 lens and the Sony a9 with the F2.8 lens was also very good and sharp.
Sony a6000 vs Sony a9, I compare these two very different cameras while shooting a parade. I wanted to see how well the two would stack up in image quality while using a cheap kit lens on the Sony a6000 vs the Sony a9. I used the Sony 55-210 on the Sony a6000 and the Sony 70-300 on the Sony a9.
In this video, I discuss my experience using the using Sony mirrorless for over a year.
Should You Upgrade from the Sony a6000 to the Sony a7ii or wait for the Sony a7iii? Does it make sense to upgrade from aps-c to fullframe. We answer questions like these and more on this week's Q&A Sunday segment.
